JP1 Remotes

I have a URC 8910 been using it for years. Few days ago it stopped controlling my Sat receiver except for the channel up and down. Other devices continue to work. I hooked it up to my computer and downloaded the codes again, but nothing. I pulled out my spare remote downloaded the codes into that ...

Thanks for the help and suggestions, I downloaded the current version but I am still having the same issues. I am considering getting a USB cable to see if that works.

Sorry, What I meant was because the program worked so will it would appear my hardware was working fine.
I am still haveing the same upload and download issues.

I apoligize for my short responses, I suffer from dyslexia and I don't really like to write much.
I am unable to Download from the remote when I try I get "jp12 read failed -1" error message.

I am able to upload most files but I always get a "data read back is not same as written ...

I ordered a JP1.2/3 cabel. yes the one wire is cut.

I do have a JPI cabel that I use with my 8910. Are U saying that this cabel will work as well?

Thank you for the offer of returning the cabel. I might take you up on that offer if I can not get it to work.

Hi guys,

I ordered a JPI.2 serial cabel and a URC-6690 remote. When I try and program it I get this error messages.

"Download remote fails with the "jp12 read failed -1" message, upload to remote successfully uploads but IR finishes with a "data read back is not same as written"


I am using IR ...

I did it my self as was suggested. Who would imagine it would be so easy. By easy I mean 3hrs but now I know and will be much quicker next time.
