Is there a way to Reverse Lookup a Manufacturer from a code?

I'm trying to control a satellite box with a tv's built-in ir blaster. the tv is a sony NSX-32GT1.

In the IR setup menu, it lists tons of manufacturers it supports (many of them have different code options), but unfortunately the nanosat/cnx isn't listed (big surprise).

But since there's a ...

Gotcha.. holding the Set button, I did see the 2 flashes, pressed 9-8-1, and got 4 flashes... tried IR remote again and this time I see:

URC-6131(Old)_6131nwB00 PVR Remote 2K (PVR0PVR0)
URC-6131nwB00 PVR Remote 2K FIXED (PVR0PVR0)

Which I'm assuming means this remote has a couple different RDFs ...

Thanks, I soldered the chip and it *looks* like IR803 sees it!

At first I tried it without batteries and got the "No response from Remote" message, which is strange since my 8910 works fine with IR Remote and no batteries, but then I installed batteries and it says "No signature found" (which is ...

Soldering the jumper might not be too bad for JP1 compatibility, but what's the package (tssop?) of the 24C16 eeprom?

Adapter to Control an RF device usnig an IR remote

I have a jukebox whose power button is very inaccessible...

But I have a ac plug that can turn on/off any appliance connected to it via a (RF) remote. However, since it's rf, I cant use my single universal remote!

Thanks a bunch, that worked!!!

Not sure how remotemaster corrupted the file, or how the data learned by the remote was so different/incomplete, but changing that bit did the trick!

I ordered the USB IR widget anyways.. I'd still like to capture and compare the valid vmate remote data with the ...

Under the PVR, it definitely says SDVM1.

Here is the ir download of the universal (after the 1575 device had been added )

I'll check the other keys tonight.

Thanks!

Thanks,

I've got a full charge on the batteries and I added the official upgrade device (VIDEOACC 1575) to the universal, but no luck. It still can't power the vmate on or off.. didn't try the other buttons.

It's bizarre I really thought the official upgrade codes would have worked. In any case ...

I like your ir.exe widget too!

My universal remote, however, doesn't seem like its capturing very well. I'm going to give it another shot, otherwise I think a friend uses one of those fancy logitech harmony remotes. If that thing can learn the codes without issue, perhaps its time for an upgrade!

Thanks,

I'm not exactly sure how to know if I've captured keys that work, but I tried again, this time with the lights off and being doubly sure that the universal is waiting for the oem key data...

The remote once again showed "SUCCESS" after each key press, but the data this time in ir.exe is ...

Sandisk V-Mate PVR Model: SDVM1

Hi,

I was trying to capture the IR codes from a little remote that came included with a SanDisk V-Mate. Perhaps I should have used longer button presses, but my universal remote (URC-8910) seemed to capture the codes just fine (i.e. displayed "SUCCESS") after each button, but it didn't work when I ...

The 8910 needs an original JP1 cable, not a JP1.x cable. Assuming your PC has a parallel port, the link you quoted is correct. It is an original JP1 cable for parallel port. I don't know what you meant by "TOOL mode in JP1.3", but if we discard that quote, you seem to be on the right track ...

Starting for the 1st time -- Some Newbie questions

I cant wait to try this! I have a URC-8910 with a bunch of devices* that arnt listed on the OneForAll website (nor in the manual) so I'm really looking forward to all this! I had originally used the learning feature to program just one device (a SonicView 4000 FTA box), but it quickly came up MEMORY ...
