JP1 Remotes

Is it the skin.xml file that maps device functions from the SBAV files to an actual button on the skin remote? I'm looking at my custom SBAV .bin files and trying to find some correlation to what is in the skin.xml. I'm just not making the connection between the two. I don't see the same terminology ...

I'm having a tough time trying to figure out how to match the slingplayer remote button layout with the RM button layout. I finally figured out how to change the skin in slingplayer to give me a different looking remote, but I've not yet figured out how to make the remote in RM match that remote so ...
