OK, I understand now. Got it all fixed.
I put all the functions into a phantom key and called that from the macro.
thanks

Who is UEIC

My Bose control is a UEIC # 401RRC - 034A05E

Does that mean anything. No 6 pin connector anywhere or any other connector. But it's a very nice layed out control.

Putting the TV command at the end of your macro should do it. If not, post your IR file so we can see exactly what you're doing.

I'm trying to enable the cable device button but it will not work. I even tried to double up on the Cable command.

The TV device will work. TV is an embedded device ...

Put remote into a device selection from Macro

I want to be able to select the input of my TV to a device and at the same time have the remote be in the device mode. For example I want to select TV antena on the TV but to operate the TV, the remote has to be in the TV device mode.

I can do the input selection fine with a macro but can not ...

Sounds like you won't be able to turn the device on at all from the remote if you do that, unless you create another power button....

yes, I'll make another power button. I am using an upgrade device so I'll make the changes there.

I don't use the DVD all that much and I don't want it turned on ...

I assume that All On uses the power button for the device. So if I change the 'power' button for the device to 'something else', the All On button then will execute 'something else'.

Is there such a EFC as NOP (no operation)?

Comcast All ON button

How does the Comcast Remote (red button) "All On" button work? It turns on all the devices. I want one device to not turn on.

Seems like I have to reprogram the Power button for the device. Can I change the All On button? A Macro does not seem to work for that button.

The TV is a Vizio VF551XVT, the code I put into the Comcast Remote (red button) is 11758. It all works, except I can not select the input (labeled. HDMI, Comp, AV, TV on the Vizio remote) I'm thinking I can program the bottom three buttons for PIP to HDMI, COMP & TV since that is what I use. It's ...

Thanks mdavej, that worked. I think I am making real progress with the help from this forum.

I was reading the KM in the keymap-master-readme.txt file and the IRhelpfile. I confused myself. And jumped a page in the help file.

I should have said 'Alt-D' not Ctrl-D to copy the Device Upgrade code.

Save Upgrade in IR gives Error

I'm trying my first upgrade using RM. I copied an Upgrade into RM, copied the upgrade with Alt-D (can't find the Copy button) and I get an error

I first had an error by putting in the Protocol ID as shown in the spread sheet '00 DE' I took out the space and got a different error. (there is nothing ...

Thanks for the link to the help file. I was looking for IR.hlp and never found it.
It would be useful to have the help file included in the .zip file with the IR.exe. I was not able to get help to work in IR.exe

Thanks
1 Can I manually load a code for the phantom device?
2. If I just change the numbers/entry on the screen of IR.exe and upload, is that enough to change the remote?
3. I saved the stuff I downloaded from the remote as a .IR file. Is that enough to get me back to the starting point?

Just getting started,Extra device on remote?

I just got my Tommy Tyler cable and it seems to work just fine. I've been following the 'Just how easy is it' thread and reading a number of other beginners threads. So, some questions that I did not yet see answers for.
I have Comcast cable remote, red ok button (URC-1067B...), and three device ...

I've got Internet Explorer 8 and have pop-ups blocked.
I'll just open in another window and preserve the window with the list.
Thanks
