Re: URC-1210 & CT-9908

Another quirk of using IrpTransmogrifier vs DecodeIR is that when i copy and pasted the original learns into a new learn DecodeIR will display is as NEC2 if that would make any difference in a service remote
That's interesting. I tried doing that, but it still showed as NEC1, however it made me ...

I'm trying to picture what a "Sega Deluxe Cabinet" is, is it something like this:

If so, I can see why you're stuck with an old projection TV rather than a more modern flat screen. If that original rmir file is valid, the previous file that I created should have ...

Well, I was curious about that, because from what I can tell, this is a service remote that you use for some special configuration purposes on projectors. You have a Toshiba rear projection TV, which isn't the same thing.

Would I be correct in assuming that you are just trying to create a working ...

Thanks Rob for your explanations, very helpful.
I uploaded the rmir you created, which also worked.
Unfortunately, the remote control does not seem to work, i.e. the projector does not react... Too bad, I'll have to see what the problem might be.

Yes thank you, I've seen it but haven't tested it yet as I'm travelling.
I was just replying to the question "It would really help us if you could tell us why you need this remote and what you want to use it for."

Stupid question: I can upload the attached rmir to my URC1210 and test it, correct ...

Sure.
I have an arcade game from Sega with a 50" rear projector TV from Toshiba. This projector has a remote control CT-9908, which you can't find on ebay or so: https://forums.arcade-museum.com/threads/toshiba-ct-9908-universal-remote-jp1-upgrade.331041/
In this thread a user has apparently ...

I would open 2 sessions of RMIR, one for your remote, the other for the file you downloaded.

- In session 1, download your existing confg and save it for a baseline.
- In session 2, go to the Devices tab, open and save the Toshiba device as its own RMDU file.
- Go back session 1 and on the ...

Thanks Rob, not an expert.
I downloaded the rmir from here https://forums.arcade-museum.com/thread ... de.331041/
What is the quickest way to create (or convert) the same rmir for my URC1210?
Thanks in advance.

URC-1210 & CT-9908

Hello,

I have a One For All Contour URC-1210 remote control which I would like to use as a Toshiba CT-9908.

I have downloaded the rmir file and would like to upload it via RemoteMaster.

Download from URC-1210 seems to work ...
