Thanks for pointing me in right direction, disable activites in advanced solved the power button problem.

After applying my upgrades the activities buttons all work. There is some odd behavior though. In the upgrades i applied 1 different function to each of the three activity buttons. That works as it should it sends the function when pressed. It also flashes itself and the currently selected device ...

The Inteset 422-4 is the first remote since the RCA RCRP05BR that supports assigning functions to device buttons, that i have tried. Meaning you can send ir out when the device button is pressed. This is very important for my application, as it makes it much more user friendly.

Yes that is it. I chose it because it specifically is 3.3v, and has txd,rxd leds and clearly marked pin definitions.. The arduino cables are probably 3.3v, as some listed for arduino specify 3.3v. That clue led me to The waveshare adapter, they are an established company NOT some Chinese eBay ...

Is the JP 1.4 pinout on jp1.4 remote the same as JP1.2/JP1.3?
I have an Inteset 422-4 which i can't read with a DIYGADGET rs232 to jp 1.2/1.3 cable, i am using a ftdi usb cable with it. It works fine on the RCA RCRP05BR, URC-10820N using remote master ir ver 3.1.5.

I can't find any settings on rmir ...
