A better idea has popped up....

Someone suggested using nail polish to "paint" the buttons. Ive taken the idea one step further and thought.....why not dab the "paint" onto the buttons, let it set for a couple minutes and then try to wipe it off......would this effectively "stain" the buttons the ...

What is the keypad made of? Is it silicone rubber?

Vinyl repair kits are pretty cheap, Amazon has one for 5 bux plus shipping that comes with a whole slew of colors (obviously we'd only need the basics).

My concerns would be if the paint would stick to the keypad, and once it did would the ...

Thanks for the advice, I was a little tired before I realized it probably wasnt that much work to just reset to factory and learn :)

Oddly enough, I was able to find an HR20 KM file, and following the notes for KM (setting raw data to 23) worked that way. For some reason following the notes for RM ...

Controlling 2 DirecTV HR20s.....

Trying to setup one of my HR20s for the 3rd codeset (matches the D10). Since the D10 is not a DVR, its missing some of the keys. If I try to carry over the EFCs from the HR20 RDMU file, they dont work (they correspond with something, but not the same buttons as listed in the HR20 RDMU).

Im guessing ...

Yes, I actually removed the "shift" portion of the keymove, but that bypasses the mechanism that requires 2 pressed of Rec. Tonight Ill just drop the keymove and see what happens.

I did notice the RM file was made for a URC-881x series. Wonder if those remotes handled Record differently, and the ...

Ill check the remote tonight, Im almost positive it said 9911, but Ill make sure. I do have another HT Pro that is a 9800 variant (9811 I believe), and it too has the same problem with shifted keys "not working" (or in my case maybe Im just using them wrong)

I understand there is a "shift" button ...

Shifted keys not working.....

Added the "DirecTV Plus HD-DVR HR20" RemoteMaster file to my remote last night. Opened the file in RM, changed the remote type to the same one I have (HT Pro), then copied the device and protocol upgrade codes into IR and uploaded to remote.

Everything works except the one shifted key (Record ...

Yeah since I already had the learned set from before, I just added in all of the OBCs that didnt exist (original remote seemed to use 0-42 with some missing in between, I added those missing plus 43-255).

No dice. I can re-do the experiment just to be sure, but I didnt see anything I was looking ...

Thanks I just noticed that (learned the signal to one of my other remotes then got it in IR).

That jives with all of the learned codes from the original remote. So it seems like there is still a dead end for discretes and this TV.

Any idea if a different subdevice might yield better results? I ...

Once you've loaded the WAV file into your remote, could you post a copy of the resulting IR file so we can see what those codes look like.

Did a mfg reset on the remote then added the wav file. The resulting IR file is here: https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=4071 ...

I assume Ill just do a File -> Save As to get the complete IR file?

Syntax Olevia 537H TV

Been in contact with UEI/OFA about a code for my Syntax Olevia 537H TV. Their response was that they didnt yet have a code for it, and they suggested 4 TV codes:

1144,1240,1331,1610

Im not quite a JP1 beginner :) Ive already upgraded my remote for all my devices, created devices for everything ...

Using Additional HTPro "IR Blasters" ?

I read thru the previous thread about adding extenders to the HTPro RF base, but I didnt see any information that I thought I could apply (mostly talk about the Xantech box which Id prefer not to purchase).

Basically I wanted to add one or two more IR "blasters" off the output of the base so I ...

I was under the impression that the silver one pictured on Tweeter.com is the 9910, not the 9811. The picture clearly shows it marked as HT Pro .

I apologize, I meant to say that I was under the impression that the HTPro is a relabelled 9910. However, if I search the net for the model Tweeter ...

Sorry, yes, I mistyped.

The 9811B00 is not the silver one in the picture then, is it?

I was under the impression that the silver one pictured on Tweeter.com is the 9910, not the 9811.
