That worked! I unzipped v3.0.13 and opened my saved file that contains "Watch TV" and "Watch Movie" macros. I uploaded that to the remote, and then downloaded it back and the "power" boxes were still checked. I then tried actually using the remote and the buttons worked as expected. I pressed Watch ...

A sudden burst of work crises and personal demands have conspired against me yesterday and today, and I haven't been able to try your build. I will try it soon-- hopefully Friday evening after work. I truly appreciate your efforts and I hope I don't seem ungrateful. I will report back as soon as I ...

Wow, thank you for the quick reply and action on this bug! I was pretty sure that I was following the right steps and couldn't see where I was doing anything wrong, so I'm reassured to hear that it's a bug.

I'll check back Wednesday evening to see if you've posted something, but it's not a crisis ...

OARUSB04G Activity Functions not uploaded to remote

It's been a while since I worked with RMIR but it gradually came back to me over this past weekend as I tried to set up an OARUSB04G remote. I'm not trying to do anything fancy so I don't have the extender installed. I believe I have everything set up as I want, but the two Activity buttons aren't ...

Thank you for the reply John. I think that's the little piece of information that I needed to put the pieces together in my head. I'll look forward to trying ToadTog when I'm home this evening.

How do you associate a device with a ToadTog command?

Sorry for posting this here instead of the newbie board, but the question is about using ToadTog, so I thought this was a better place.

I have the URC 6131 and I'm using the extender, which also has a version of ToadTog. I've read the instructions a few times and looked at the examples and I think ...

Questions on downloading the remote

I have my JP1 cable and my remote and I'm having fun figuring things out. A couple of newbie questions:

1. How can you find out what the URC original codes are for a specific device? I'm guessing that you can't download them because they are stored somewhere besides the EEPROM. Maybe this isn't ...

Thank you both for the great information. Regarding the modified 6131, somewhere on the forum I found a link to Surf Remote Control (also seems to be the forum sponsor) where they sell the modified version. I hope they still do. I could do the mod myself, but my time is kind of tight right now ...

Trying to get the big picture (and some specifics)

I was bobbling along with two or three remotes until just recently when I purchased a Harman Kardon A/V receiver which came with a sort of universal remote. I tried to set it up to do everything and discovered that it has a fatal flaw. You can program macros, but the one thing that you can't program ...
