Excluding a post from the "unanswered" list?

Post by GMan »

Is there any way to exclude certain posts from the "View unanswered posts" list.

It would be nice to exclude them for me personally (on an individual-reader basis), but if that is not an option, to exclude the messages from the list for everyone. Some announcement-type posts or FAQ-type posts do not require/request a response. So if I'm browsing for messages to help answer, I'd like to not see the FAQ- or announcement-type posts in the unanswered list.

I guess you could "fool the system" by replying to each message you want excluded with a short "exclude from unanswered" message.

Thoughts?

I don't think this is possible. AFAIK, "view unanswered posts" simply shows you all the posts that you have NOT responded to, regardless of their type.
