i thought i had it, but it seems all the dvd codes either go to aux or dvd 5.1/7.1 for me.. (on the 810s)

i will double check tonite. Right now i am using a VCR + 1 click of input toggle to get to dvd reliably.

What is the difference between "DVD 5.1/7.1" and "DVD"?

dvd is either analog (RED WHITE) or digital (coax optical)
dvd 5.1/7.1 is multichannel output from a sacd or dvd audio player

I think i figured it out, but i dont know why. I switched back to the 3dev protocol from the 4dev and it seems to work now.

input DVD - 157- sets reciever to AUX
input Dvd (alt) - 007 - sets receiver to DVD

Are you sure, was the DVD button the only one that wasn't working under 4DEV? As I wrote the 4DEV protocol I'd like to know if there's something wrong with it.
