Metal and Motif work as expected
Nimbus has something odd going on with the size of the text box and you can't see what you're typing since the top 2/3 of it are cut off while you're typing. But once you finish it works as expected.
So I'll just stick with Metal and it'll solve this problem.... Probably something to think about as what is the "default" for OS/X installs as well as a note in the users manual about this oddity with the OSX look and feel.
