Has anyone else successfully used the Device Combiner Protocol with a Replay 5000 remote and the ReplayTv-5000.txt file in using KM or RM?

Or even the Device Combiner Protocol in general?

I took a look at your files and everything seems ok as far as the Device Combiner (upgrade and protocol) is concerned.

The problem is that the ReplayTV-5000.txt upgrade uses a protocol upgrade that is NOT in your IR file. Add this protocol code into IR's Protocols tab and try again.

Upgrade Protocol 0 = 01 45 (S3C8+) ReplayTV (Advanced) (KM v8.25)
47 93 71 8B 12 87 04 08 04 00 DE 00 00 00 00 00
CA D4 44 05 35 01 A8 58 0A 6C 26 37 5F 0F 37 5C
11 68 C5 5C 9A 37 66 0A E6 0D 04 5C A1 37 5C 02
6C 27 0C 0A 04 0A 0A 10 09 10 C5 10 0A 20 0A 10
09 0A F1 37 52 07 F6 01 46 58 C6 8B E5 20 29 8D
01 46
End

That last advice worked great! Thank you.

I am trying to add one last command and having some problems. Maybe what I am trying to do is not possible with this particular remote or protocol. I also am not sure if it is 2 byte or not, and if this even matters.

I just want the Power command for a GE AC unit assigned to the record button on the Replay remote. I found what I am pretty sure is the correct protocol in the files section. I have imported the protocol into RM, assigned the record button to the power function, and I have added the protocol into IR's protocol list.

The remote does not hang or anything like that, the red light comes on when pressed, but it just simply does not make the AC unit do anything. I have tried other functions (Fan, Mode, etc.) with same results.

I have posted my RM and IR files here in case:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jp1/files ... TVGEAC.zip

NOTE:
For some reason the RM file once saved, and then re-opened, acts weird. Some tabs are not working right...

I suppose it is possible that protocol is wrong, but the Air conditioner remote has the exact same commands as listed in the file, it is a GE brand, and it is made in Korea (Samsung I would think?).

Is there any sense in playing with the Device 1 & Device 2 numbers? The default is 1 and 8 respectively. What about the EFC codes? Is there any sense trying every number from 000-255, in case my unit uses different numbers?

I am just looking for a straight away reason that what I am trying to do will not work. I have no problem doing the grunt work, if necessary

Thanks

The problem here is that you are using Device Combiner with a Manual Settings protocol. RM doesn't support that.
