I recently bought a used GTP-500 with no remote included and I would really like some help from you guys here please.

I have a Vizio vur8 remote and it has a jp1.3 6 pin on the back.

I tried several things like the 990 and 991 commands but did not work, please help.

Use Setup code Audio 1530 and the EFCs listed in this older thread about the GTP-500. Note that the GTP-500II uses a different IR protocol, so make sure that you've got a 500.

To add the EFCs to your VUR8, use the 994 command.
1) Tap the Audio button
2) Hold the Setup button until 2 blinks
3) Enter 994
4) Tap Setup (don't hold it)
5) Enter the 5 digit EFC
6) Tap the button you want to assign the function to.
The remote should blink twice.

First of all I want to thank you guys very much for your help. Second, I'm a bit embarrassed but how do I input setup code Audio 1530? Do I need a jp1 cable?
