My Roku actually has a button you can press and makes the remote emit a sound, but it is not a stick.
Roku remotes are usually bluetooth, but some Roku's will accept IR commands from the upgrades in the file section.
Roku also has a smartphone/tablet app that can work as a remote.

Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Roku stick remote use Wifi-direct a form of RF. It can not be controlled by IR remote at all sorry. They sell Roku wifi Voice remotes at best buy and walmart separately. Its usually $29.99 at best buy and $19.88 at walmart. You can ordeer it on amazon as well:
