Point me in the right direction

Well I jot my first JP1 remote, the Kameleon 9960. I am very impressed with myself so far, I made my own JP1 cable out of some spare parts and and old IDE cable. I even soldered a 6 pin connector onto the JP1 pads on the remote with no problem and IR downloaded on the first try.

...And then I tried to follow JP1 for beginner's guide and discovered it is horribly out of date. Does anyone have a link to a guide that explains what everything is and where to get it?

Right now I'm stuck trying to find the right Protocol name, Device code, and Functions needed for my DirecTV DVR HR21-700.
