Post by runeste »

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to program a URC-7550 to be able to enter the service menus of a LG 50PS3000 plasma TV ?

Probably.

It looks like we might have two versions of the URC-7550. The URC-7550B00 has a setupcode that will work with the LG Hack.

In order to get to the menu you need to have a remote that is capable of sending EFC's and has a built in setup code that sends Nec1 Device 4 signals.

The URC-7550 isn't listed in Lookup tool so you need to be a bit creative. You are looking for a setup code that Sends Nec1 signals. Device 1 must be 4 and device 2 must be blank. Then check your documentation to see if the remote has one of those setup codes.

It looks like TV codes 0011, 0070, 0072, 0076 are all in your remote if you have the urc-7550B00 model.

If you don't have the B00 you'll have to do some trial and error to find a remote setup code from the lookup table that is a Nec1 Dev 4 type of signal and resides in your remote.
