JP1 Remotes

I have a URC8100 with the extender controlling all of my devices perfectly. There is just one issue with which I would like to deal. The Receiver does notalways turn off.. I am using a ToadTog protocol for it and the macros are all correct, it is just that the receiver does not always get the off command. I wonder if there is a way that I can specify how long the repeating part of the command is sent or something to that effect. I can't send it twice because it is not a discrete off ( and I have searched and searched and am fairly certain that there is no discrete off for this RCA receiver. )

There are two or three possible ways to address this.

1) Make the button the last command and hold the button which will repeat the signal.

2) Move the button to a different location in the macro since sometimes this helps. Ofcourse if it is the only button in the keymove or macro then that won't help.

3) Use the "Device Combiner" protocol for the one button and experiment with the duration option.

Option 3 is probably the best and most effective way to go.

I suspect that you have typo'd the remote model number as I've never heard of the URC-8100. I'm guessing that you either mean the URC-8800 or the URC-8810, which are completely different remotes.

I tried the device combiner and it seems to be working nicely... thanks for the suggestion...
