1. Device: Apex Digital AD-1145
2. Type of device: DVD player
3. Remote model: URC-6012B00
4. JP1 user? no, remote has the 6 holes, but no connector
5. Still have original remote? yes
6. Checked Yahoo file section? yes
7. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? yes

Can someone with a learning remote capture the advanced codes for me?

I've tried the dvd code of 0672, tried using the search function of the remote, and tried testing some of the advanced codes for other apex models listed in the yahoo and pronto file section with no luck.

OFA told me to try the dvd codes of 0672, 0717, 0755, 0794, 0795, 0796, 0797, 0830, 0856, 1004, 1020, 1056, 1061, 1100, 1126, 1915, 1937; but 0672 is the only one in my remote's memory. Is there a place to get the advanced codes represented by the dvd codes?

Thanks

You might try here http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/adv-codes.shtml but it's a little confusing on the Apex model methods. I'm sure someone with more info will offer advice too.

just because you dont have the pins doesnt mean it wont JP1. All you need is the pin adapter that goes into remote side connector on the cable. You have to hold the cable on the remote while programming, but it should work.

My cable from hovis came with the 6pin header already which was a nice bonus.

The only problem is that the 601x remotes don't have an EEPROM (and IIRC a few other components and/or a jumper or two). It can be made into a JP1 remote but it takes more than the cable and header. It can be programmed with EFC's but those (without the EEPROM) go into RAM and will be lost with a prolonged battery failure.
