What is a Misc "odd" Learned Signal?

Hello,
I have a combo DVD/VCR that I am trying to program the 9910 remote for. I found a very close upgrade and finally got that installed. The upgrade works, but I few needed buttons are missing. I learned the buttons and then downloaded them with IR.exe. However, my problems are two fold.
1. I cannot figure out which numbers to use. The decoded learned signals present several numbers in a list for Hex and EFC. The stated numbers are separated by the word OR. Does this mean any number of these numbers can be used? Or is the decoder getting conflicting numbers? Under the Misc column is the word "ODD". Does this indicate some sort of ODD parity report? Or the software making a observation that it finds my learned signal to be 'odd'. Any tutorials specifically on decoding learned signals available on the web?.
2. The learned DVD mode button is listing a format of RC5 while the actual DVD portion of the remote is RC6. (This remote seems to send RC5 for VCR commands and RC6 for DVD commands.) Assuming that I can figure out #1 above, can I send an RC5 command while in DVD, aka RC6 mode? How would I do this?
I repeated the learning process several times hoping that it was only a faulty capture. However, I get the same result every time. I took a guess at which numbers to use and modified the upgrade, but the button does not work. However, pressing the L1 key does operate the function, so the captured signal is accurate.
Thanks.
