I will shortly receive an upgraded URC-8811 from OFA (codes DVD 1020 & 1245). How can I import these into an extension IR file?
Thanks -- Vincent

1. Download the memory using IR.
2. Cut and paste the raw hex code for the upgrades to notepad (making a note of the setup codes and/or protocol ids)
3. Download your extended memory using IR (or open your saved file).
4. Cut and paste the data from notepad back to IR.

Seems to me that Raw Data in IR's UI is one image for the whole device. So I need to know how which bytes correspond to the two upgrades in the first image AND have to know where in the Raw Data of the second image to put the data. No?

No. Go to the Upgrades tab, select one of the upgrades and click EDIT, this will give you the raw hex for just that one upgrade. You need to make a note of the setup code (eg, DVD/1020) because when you paste the raw hex code back into IR you will need to re-enter it.
Do the same for the protocols.

Got it. Except there is no Upgrade tab on the IR UI for extensions. So I know where to get the data from but where does it go?

It isn't the Upgrade tab, it's the Devices tab (and Protocols tab if a protocol upgrade is used by one of the device upgrades).
BTW, you can use RM's "Import Raw Upgrade" feature to create an RM device upgrade file from that same raw upgrade data.
