Since I discovered this wonderful forum and shorty after received my USB cable I have been doing all kind of things with my remote that I didnt thing was possible. But.. I seem to have run my head against a wall now. I have a LOT of different devices and quite a few protocols so Im out of Upgrade Memory. I have plenty of Learning memory that I dont use though. There does not seem to be any Force/Dreambox extenders so 2 questions :
1 : I realize that there is not a lot of active Force/Dreambox Remote users here so is the possibility of an extender completely out of the question ?
2 : If an extender was made, would I get more Upgrade Memory or is the Learning Memory ONLY converted to Move/Macro Memory ?

What version of IR.exe are you using?
In most models of remote, using learning memory for upgrades is possible as an IR.exe feature. An extender is neither necessary for that nor particularly helpful.
I haven't tried it yet, but I read in some recent thread that there was recent progress in adding that feature to IR.exe.

Was using 6.20 untill recently, but using 7 beta3 now. It would be great if this could be done through IR but It certainly doesnt seem like an obvious feature .

Sorry. I didn't read the discussion of that IR.exe feature carefully enough to notice that so far it has only been beta tested privately by other experts.
I just downloaded and tested that feature in IR version 7.0 beta5a and it seems to perform that new feature quite well.
I certainly don't want to discourage future development by triggering a lot of support requests for software that the developer doesn't consider ready yet. So I hope I'm not too out of line revealing that there are newer versions than beta3.
But, I don't think there are too many users with a current need to use learning memory for upgrades. So it is probably OK for you to ask Binky123 for an advance copy. I think it should help to have that feature tested by someone who currently needs it.
I hope this feature works for your model of remote. It works for all models whose internals I understand, but I don't know much about the Force remote.

This is GREAT info. I just gave binky a pm as I would very much like to test this feature.
Cheers !!!

Got the test version and just overrided my Upgrade memory with a bunch of upgrades. Its working like a charm. Amazing...

Notice that (unlike with almost all extenders) you don't need to give up all your learned signals. You just need to have enough free space for upgrades to overflow into.
So if you want to add a few learned signals later, that should be OK.
On my display the number for free learning memory switches to a low contrast color so I can't read it after the upgrade area overflows into it. But even if that happens to other users as well, it is very low priority compared to whatever else Binky is working on.

Yes im already doing that now. I loaded a IR file with full upgrade memory and half full learning memory and overrided a lot of the remaining learning with upgrades. This was just what I was after.. sweet...

I dont have this problem. It does turn into a very bright yellow but its not unreadable for me.
