seeking advice: RF remote to run PC apps (Winamp)

Can someone recommend an RF remote with receiver that can control PC-based music players such as Winamp or iTunes. I need fairly long range to get from my deck to a pc on the second floor. I don't need a wireless music delivery system as everything is hard wired. I only need basic functionality ...

Second marco won't run

I should have been more detailed in my previous post. The TV and RCVR entries were X_TV and X_RCVR. So next, I went to the L1 and L2 macros and changed the standard devices to X_ devices except for the final device selection of AUX and CBL. This didn't help me. As a last resort, I copied all the ...

Macros under 8811 extender

I’m running the 8811 extender. I want to have two macro keys (M1, M2) turn my TV and Receiver on and off and, depending on which button is pressed, select which sat receiver to leave the remote set for.
To start, I used these macros:

M1 TV; Power; RCVR; Power; L1
(L1 runs a tested macro that sets ...

Device Selection

Sorry I found the problem. I changed the device assignments between the two remotes that I'm working on but I forgot to change the macros. I swapped it around and it's working perfectly. Thanks.

Device Selection with 8811 Extender

I am using the 8811 extender and most everthing works. I set up the L buttons to switch the TV input and the receiver video inputs and then poinnt to one of several satellite receivers. The receiver and TV switch their inputs but the remote does not remain set up for the satellite receivers. If I ...

8811 with 3 PVR upgrades and no space

Rob
I have uploaded the 8811 IR file plus the 3 satellite KM files (with the high key move count) in a zipped file. I should mention that I started with a 7800 in 2002, then went to a 8910 and finally to an 8811. I have simply loaded the previous KM sheets into the latest version of KM - of which ...

Using the extender

To answer Rob's question: The 8811 uses a lot of key moves to get the transport controls of a PVRand I have three PVRs. My 8910 handles these upgrades with very few keymoves and has tons of space left over. The same upgrades won't fit on an 8811.
OK so I will use the extender. As a quick over view ...

thanks - I see that this is just a label.
After adding the additional receiver, I am out of upgrade and keymove space. Is there a more efficient way ( a JP1 way) to use the learning space for extra functions? I have stripped out every macro and keymove that I can live without.

adding another Dish 508 sat to 8811

I am adding another Bell 5900 sat receiver (Dish 508/510) to my 8811 remote. I got the latest Keymaster, loaded my old Dish 508 file, changed the unit code, did a copy and paste to IR. Now I have two CBL/SAT 1775 devices in the IR device list that differ only by the fixed data number (00 00 and 80 ...
