Before I upload a file for a new device, I usually go ahead and try ALL unused EFC codes twice. Once with the device off and then with the device on. I do this by loading the original data into the remote (8810w), then using the "set 9-7-5" (?) button sequence to transmit the

The "x_" is defined by the Extender3 in this case. x_ means to interpret following key codes from the mode indicated (x_VCR means the following Phantom2 is the Phantom2 from the VCR device or keymove).

This feature may be different in different extenders or remotes.

Good points. I think we will agree to disagree on the value of lengthy subject lines (which by the way I think should not be referred to in the body of the message as in: "see subject line and please answer the question therein"). I'll defer to your judgement and preference (but if it ever comes to ...

I will certainly let you decide what the consensus is (and how to determine what the consensus is) ;-). I just wanted to let you know that I thought there was *potential* confusion.

The type of code search that I think could occur is for discrete codes, which are very rarely found on the OEM ...

Excluding a post from the "unanswered" list?

Is there any way to exclude certain posts from the "View unanswered posts" list.

It would be nice to exclude them for me personally (on an individual-reader basis), but if that is not an option, to exclude the messages from the list for everyone. Some announcement-type posts or FAQ-type posts do ...

Subject length limit

Can/should the length of the subject line be increased?

It seems to be limited to about 60 characters, including special marks translated to HTML (the double quote character appears to be translated to "&" then subject to the 60 character limit, for an example see my immediatly prior post entitled ...

Confusing to beginners: "JP1 - Code Search" vs &qu

*I* understand the difference, based on the descriptions, between "JP1 - Code Search" and "Code Search", but I think it would be *real* confusing for a beginner who doesn't yet have his/her mind around JP1 yet.

I.e. How would a beginner decide where this question would go: "How do I control my ...

Maybe I'm misinterpreting the original question, but I'll try to answer.

My understanding is that LDKP will RECOGNISE when a key is pressed and held or pressed twice.

What I think was asked is "can the remote be programmed to, in effect, hold a key for a longer-than-normal amount of time?"

I ...

Serial port version of JP1?

Anybody know of a serial port version of the JP1?

Will IR.exe or KM or the upcoming Java program spit out a raw list of address/data (pairs or stream) to download to the EEPROM on JP1-enabled remotes as set up by the user?
