I have packed all my gear away and won't have access again till monday. I do remember this upgrade had the correct fixed data when compared to the lookup tool is showing for sat1377, but it seems to me that the device was decoded as 12 when i shot it at the widget. I see that this device is supposed to be 1. Can someone verify that this upgrade is using the standard protocol while i' m in transit?

I couldn't sleep so I unpacked my 8910, RCA and my widget. Even though this decodes as device 12, parameter 3, this does match a built in 1377 code in an RCA.
As MaskedMan mentioned there is no 992 command. We're thinking that at some time you may have mapped the SAT button to be some other type of code, although with all these devices its hard to imagine why.
To make sure the SAT button is in SAT mode
Hold the Setup key for about 5 seconds and release
Press the Up Arrow 7 times
Screen says "Mode Map"
Press Select
Screen says "From Mode"
Press SAT
Screen says "To Mode"
Press SAT
Then redo the code set
Press the Setup key for about 5 secodes
Press the Select
type 1377
Press Exit
If that doesn't work, I'd strongly recommend replacing your remote.
As maskedman mentioned universal RF remotes like the 9910 can't replace an OEM RF remote. So your Directv must be in IR mode.

Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.
