Airtel TV HD Satellite
Hi,
I am using slingbox m1 in india with my "airtel hd" receiver. Generally on any remote,
Up= channel up
down= channel down
right=volume up
left=volume down.
However, these keys on my receiver are just used for scrolling through menus. Now the issue is, I have two firetv sticks connected to tv's in other room and the firestick remote just has up,down,right and left buttons which mimic function of your remote in slingbox app. End result= I cannot change channels or turn volume up or down.
I want to edit my slingbox airtel bin file so that up becomes channel up and so on.
Can somebody please help me.

Not sure. The problem you have is that unlike you suggestion, the Ch+/- and Vol+/- on your remote are NOT the same as the Up/Down & Left/Right arrows. For example the Up button sends Code 88 and the Ch+ button sends code 32.
So if I remapped the Up button to send Code 32 then your Firestick would change channels OK, but you would not be able to use the arrow buttons on the menus when you are viewing through the M1.
Unless you want me to completely swap everything over so the arrow buttons operate Channel +/- and the Ch+/- buttons operate up/down ? You would just have to remember the difference.
I wouldn't bother about the Volums, as Sling never sends that code to the receiver, they hijack it to control the Slingplayer volume.
