Device codes for different models

Hi,

I have gone through irdb.

I found that I can get Brand, its device types and it's code.

Below is an example for Samsung devices.
I got codes for VCR.
device : 2, sub-device: 2
device : 5, sub-device: 5

Now, to find out set of code for specific model. What are next actions required?
What is device and sub-device?

I got https://github.com/probonopd/MakeHex and decoded to get raw code.

But, for different deivce and subdevice how to collect set of code for one or more remotes.

Is there any other source available to get codes for device models?

Additional info from PM:

We are Home Automation based company located in India.

We are developing IR module which can control devices and act as universal remote.

So, I have found some tools and API to find the parameters for devices and to decode and than encode codes etc... eg. IrScrutinizer, irdb.tk

So, If you can help me out to get the most effective tools or API.

Also, Currently I have AC of brand Electrolux and its Raw IR code.
But, I found it sends all the parameters in each IR command.
Like... Temperature, Swing , Mode etc....

So, I want to find these parameter places in IR commands.
So, that when user change any setting than that part will be affected only and not others.

Also, when I tried to decode Raw code with IrScrutinizer it gives me unknow protocol type.

If you can help me out for this.

What you're missing here is the protocol, which I expect is NECx2.

NECx2 dev 5, sub 5 is a common Samsung VCR code, you can find similar UEI setup codes by using the Lookup Tool (like in the header section of this page). You can find similar JP1 upgrades using JP1-Master-1.15.

Let me add more details:

I got below protocol details for different device types for brand Samsung.

Samsung Air Conditioners: Protocol Samsung20 device 1 subdevice 8 Get codes
Samsung Rear Projection DLP TVs: Protocol NECx2 device 7 subdevice 7 Get codes
Samsung TVs: Protocol NECx2 device 7 subdevice 7 Get codes
Samsung VCRs: Protocol NEC2 device 2 subdevice 2 Get codes
Samsung VCRs: Protocol NECx2 device 2 subdevice 2 Get codes
Samsung VCRs: Protocol NECx2 device 5 subdevice 5

So, how could I find the model of Samsung device?
Like, Air Conditioners but which model?
VCRs I got three result, but which three models?

The Samsung20 protocol is not supported by the Lookup Tool yet, but as I know the executor is called _pid: $002F, I can select it that way. From the results I see that it's only used by a couple of TV and Audio codes, no A/C units. And I don't see any upgrades that use Samsung20 in JP1-Master-1.15, so no luck there either.

Moving on the NECx2 7.7, using the Lookup Tool I see plenty of codes to chose from. Picking the first one, I click on Brands and see the following:

Trying the same in JP1-Master-1.15, I see many different models that use that code, like...
