If you have a new remote that isn't recognized by RMIR, post the details here so we can help create a new RDF for it. Or, if there is an issue with an existing RDF or map, this is the place.

Just got this remote and manually put in a
DSM this remote does support it even though it is not in the RDF
Am i correct that i can just add
[SpecialProtocols]
DSM=Internal:0
to the RDF

Also when download RMIR has the
Note: Devices on this remote are selected by scrolling through a fixed list and a device with an unset setup code is skipped. A blank entry in the setup column denotes an unset setup code.

But this is not that type of remote
Here is link to raw download

Yes, that is all that is needed.

This is due to the entry

Code: Select all

SoftDev=SetupCodesOnly
in the [General] section of the RDF. I cannot trace why this is there. As far as I can tell, it has been present since the RDF was first created. Please delete this entry and report back whether it has any adverse consequences.

I intend to release RMIR v2.11 in the next few days and will include these changes. If you can get back to me about the SoftDev change before then, it would be helpful.

yes deleting "SoftDev=SetupCodesOnly" gets rid of the message
and RMIR works like it should

adding

[SpecialProtocols]
DSM=Internal:0
to the RDF

also worked
Thank You

Graham, there are 2 versions of this remote, so the SoftDev entry should be removed from both. I don't recall it being in the first version of the RDF.

DSM should probably be added to both versions as well. But I no longer have one of these remotes to test.
