"Ali G" is a character created by British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen. While his show is very popular back in the UK, his only exposure over here has been one series of 6 episodes on HBO. I caught some of the first series and became an instant fan, since then I've picked up some British import DVDs and am now an even bigger fan.
Why am I telling you all this???
Because he has a new series starting on HBO this Sunday, plus they are re-running all 6 episodes from the first series on Friday evening.
OK, now onto the details... the "Ali G" character is a complete idiot. He's some sort of hip-hop gangsta wannabe, even though he's a white guy from a nice British suburb. Somehow or other he manages to get serious people to agree to be interviewed by him and the results are outrageous!!!
For example, here's a clip from a recent interview with Pat Buchannon...
Ali: "Could Saddam make Weapons of Mass Destruction, or BLTs as they're known?"
Pat: "Could he make them?"
Ali: "Yeah, could Saddam make BLTs?"
Pat: "Yes we know he could, because he used BLTs on the Kurds"
