Hold the last step of a key press
With the 8810w and the 3.x extender, the key presses do not repeat when you hold them down. The help doc say it will repeat the last step of a macro sequence, but what about keys like volume? Do I need to put the actual volume up/down device codes on a shift or phantom key for that device and call it up on a macro that is assign to the real unshifted volume up/down keys so they repeat? I am not sure if this is a job for the LKP protocol or not.
If repeating is enabled by the protocol (it is with most protocols) then repeat while held is a normal feature of keys defined within a setup code, or by KeyMove. It should work that way with or without an extender.
That item in the extender documentation was meant to explain that with the extender the last key of a macro ALSO gets that behavior. You do not need to make something be the last key of a macro to get that behavior.
The LKP protocol is something else entirely.
I don't have a good guess of why it isn't working for you.
Post your eeprom image file (either .ir or .txt) in the Yahoo JP1 diagnosis folder and post the URL back here. Maybe someone can spot the problem from that.

Here's the file:

I just remembered I changed the activate key to M3 (macro) to initiate a phantom (activate) so it works in any mode. It only gives one flash instead of four, but the extender still activates. Make sure you press M3 to activate it when you are testing it.
Also to change it back to the TV-power key change the following bytes in the image:
0000 to 0001: 30CF
0024 TO 0029: 0303 0708 00
Maybe this is my problem. I will test it tonight when I get a chance.
