Jp1... no pin header

Post by wallace4793 »

Hello

Ive got a kameleon 8 in 1 and live in the uk. I therefore need to program the remote myself using a jp1 cable and ir.exe. Upon inspection my remote has six solder points instead of a pin header and i was wondering how i can connect my cable? please help as my remote was $100 and a gift... seems useless at the moment. thanks john.

You can either solder in a 6-pin yourself or you can buy a pogo-pin adapter to go with your JP1 cable when you get it.

The Kameleon (URC-9960, I assume) also has a modem onboard, so you could add upgrades via the modem too if you want, without a cable.
