Help! need to remap the power button on URC9910 - Advice?

I keep hitting the power button when using the arrow keys (URC9910) so I would like to make it respond only to long key or double or something while in DVD device mode. What would be the best way to accomplish this??

URC9910
Extender 8910_1_1
IR 5.10
