drop down boxes not working in keymap-master

drop down boxes not working in keymap-master

Hi

Im trying to manually create an upgrade for my uk sky remote. I have got to the point where i assign the buttons on the buttons tab but the drop down boxes dont work. any ideas. also the protocol on the remote is rc6-6-20.. should i enter rc6? thanks John

I don't know why the buttons tab doesn't work. You'll need to provide more info.

rc6-6-20 is NOT the same as RC6.

In RemoteMaster there is a protocol choice RC6-M-20n. You can use that one and set M to 6 in the Parameter list below that choice.

For KM you should find an existing upgrade for sky (they're all pretty much the same) and start from that. I don't think there is good enough documentation to tell a beginner how to create a sky upgrade from scratch in KM, but modifying an existing one is easy.

If the drop down boxes don't work, you either selected "No" when it asked you if you want to allow macros, or you have your security settings too high, in which case Excel won't even ask you, it will just disable macros for you.

Usually when the drop-downs won't work in Excel, it's a sign that the current Excel session is somehow corrupted. Two things to try is 1) exit and restart Excel or 2) restart the PC.
