9910 extender and Special Protocols in IR6.00?
How I get the Special Protocols to show up in the SP tab. I see 4 in the drop down list (LKP, DKP, DSM, Toadtog) but only 1 is selectable (DSM). I'd like to have the Device Toggle in there and selectable.

Since the current RDF's haven't been updates to work with the latest IR, you'll have to add this section to the appropriate RDF. Note that the actual protcol upgrades MUST be in the IR configuration to be active (i.e. the SP's aren't available if you do a File, New).
[SpecialProtocols]
LDKP=01F9
DSM=01FC
ToadTog=0181
[SpecialProtocols]
LDKP=01F9
DSM=01FC
ToadTog=0181

Re: 9910 extender and Special Protocols in IR6.00?
My tiny experience is that Device Toggle is classified as a normal keymove. So I used the keymoves sheet.Wheelie4 wrote: I'd like to have the Device Toggle in there and selectable.
I found that even without the RDF change, after the protocol and the upgrade go in and it's assigned to a virtual device, it works
BTW, do the instructions say to use a device button for toggling? I put it on L1 on the 8910, a close relative of 9910, and the remote toggles just fine. It's a fantastic protocol. Thanks to whoever invented it
Thanks Mark.
This is a pre IR6.00 made file I'm currently using in my 9910 that I'm going to add another device to today. I already have one Device Toggle TV:1102 Device in the Device tab for toggling between 2 vcr's on the VCR button. And actually the SAT button is being used also to toggle 2 devices. I have both setup as keymoves. I just thought it would be kewl to use the Special protocol tab to setup this device to toggle on the DVD button.
In the RDF under [Extenders] I added this line:
DeviceSetup=TV/1102,DeviceToggle
At the bottom of the RDF I added this:
[SpecialProtocols]
LDKP=01F9
DSM=01FC
ToadTog=0181
I have no idea what the numbers should be for DiviceToggle=xxxx. This is my first time looking in a RDF and have absolutely no idea what I'm freakin doing.

ElizabethD,
I'm under the impression you can use any key to toggle. For my VCR device and two vcr's I use the FAV key. On my SAT devices I use Shift SAT to toggle. By the way, the 8910 and 9910 are basicly identical minus the RF puck and RF transciever that the 9910 has.BTW, do the instructions say to use a device button for toggling? Load the device in IR, go to the device tab, select the 1102 device and look in the protocol window just to the right of the devices. That 3 digit number plus a zero in front of it is what you put in the DeviceToggle= line.Wheelie4 wrote: I have no idea what the numbers should be for DiviceToggle=xxxx.
That is awesome Nils, thanks. Now the two DeviceToggles I had in keymoves tab are now showing up in the Special protocol tab instead.Nils_Ekberg wrote:Load the device in IR, go to the device tab, select the 1102 device and look in the protocol window just to the right of the devices.
