JP1 stops responding on my URC6131 Extended

Post by mhallerbach »

I have a new URC6131(Extended), that I have had for about 2 weeks and have been programming via JP1 and IR 6.00 (trying to get everything the way I want), and as of the last couple of days I have been getting an error message periodically that it doesn't detect the JP1 connection, and the interface test in IR will fail. The cable is connected fine and I know my JP1 Parallel cable and IR is good, because right after I receive the error message, I can plug in my 15-1994 remote and Jp1 works fine. When I see the message, I discovered that if I shut down my computer and restart everything, and the connection will be back. Like I said, it only happens periodically, and just on the URC6131. Is there something I can adjust to remedy this, or clear out of memeory, or could it be a side effect of now having a lot of data in my 6131(I am at about 75% upgrade memory used, and only 25% Macros), but am using the extender, LKP, and some keymoves). The LKP fuctionality is the last thing I have done, so it might be related, although my LKP functions on the remote work fine. Obviously, I can live with this if I had to, but I am hoping there is a minor adjustment I can make to IR or something that could correct this.

Any thoughts anybody?

Thanks

Does it react the same with and without batteries in the remote?
