Hello,
I am new to JP1 programming, and after reading as much as could and downloading the program that are out there, I am still having some problems with some basics.
I am using a URC 9910 HT PRO Remote, and I am trying to load the codes for the RCA DTC210 HD SAT Reciever (Code 566 on the URC9910 preset internal library) in the SAT function on the remote. Next I am trying to load a 2nd satellite reciever, Direct TV TIVO M/N R10 into the CABLE function (Code 1142 on the URC9910 reset internal libray). Since the URC9910 will not allow loading in the cable function or AUX, I can't load both (just one in SAT). Tryed the LEARN keys and then uploaded to IR but the FREQUENCY and series of numbers that followed form the Decoder were more advance thean the tutorial explains. Appreciate any help [/img]
Need help with URC9910

Re: Need help with URC9910
You are mistaken, you can assign any setup code to any device button you like.makrakis wrote:Since the URC9910 will not allow loading in the cable function on AUX, I can't load both (just one in SAT).

One more question on IR and KM
Thanks for the reply Robman.... Can I get both SAT devices plugged without creating one from scratch in the KM excel sheets. Here is what I did. I uploaded the remote's memory/devices to IR which properly identified the deveice codes (The SAT code is what I was going after). Next I saved this IR image and then I entered the second SAT code into the same remote and uploaded the memory to IR. IR program writes over the device. (How do I copy it to cable). If I rename it as CABLE, will it leave it alone on the next upgrade and not write over it. Also - ho can I get the device contents move from IR to KM EXCEL so I can get the key maps going. It appears to be a one way move from KM to IR but not vice versa. Thanks for your response and taking the time - I bought 5 of these remotes for my home so I need to learn to use KM/IR fand become proficient. I easily loaded a prebuilt KM file for a DVD player I had an transfered from KM to IR and then dowloaded to the remote. Greg Makrakis

This isn't as complicated as you appear to think it is, just assign the first SETUP code (these are not DEVICE codes) SAT/0566 to the SAT button and assign the other one (SAT/1142) to the AUX button.
