Learned Signals, now what

Post by grcobb »

I have been using a URC8811 with the Motorola DCT6412 and Cambridge Soundworks AVS5500 devices for a while using extenders for various functions and everything works great. Now, I want to add a new code from the AVS550 to the URC8811 remote and went through the following steps:

1. Uploaded an old IR file without extenders to get the learning capabilities back on the remote.
2. Went through the learning process successfully for the keys I want to add.
3. Uploaded the data from the 8811 into IR and looked at the Learned Signals tab, hoping that the ECF code for the keys would be there. Naturally, it was a string of numbers (see below).

How do I extract the ECF number that I need to add to the 'Extended' IR code file that I am actually using?

Protocol: NEC1 (00 5a) 38.1 kHz

Learned key L3 (ECF=??? - The one I want the code for)
+8736 -2302 +554 -83212 +8736 -2302 +554 -83212 +8736 -2302 +554 -130516

Learned key L2 (ECF=120 - OSD key)
+8736 -2300 +554 -83204 +8736 -2300 +554 -83204 +8736 -2300 +554 -83204 +8736 -2300 +554 -83204 +328 -94466 +8736 -2300 +554 -83204 +2776 -948 +24 -131046

Learned key L1 (ECF=251 - Audio In key)
+8660 -2376 +554 -83198 +8736 -2300 +554 -83198 +8736 -2300 +554 -83198 +8736 -2300 +554 -83198 +2928 -8108 +554 -83198 +8736 -2300 +554 -130516

Or is there another easier way to retrieve the ECF codes for a learned key that I don't know about (or can't remember).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Gary

ps: I had set up the devices back in Jan 2005 and worked with Rob a little bit back then trying to solve another problem.

Get new batteries for the AVS550 remote and then relearn the signals.

New batteries made all the difference.

Thanks.
