Yahoo Files/Photos area

Post by Mark Pierson »

There's one caveat to keeping the Files/Photos storage over on Yahoo: they're implementing some changes effective August 21st that will require Yahoo group membership in order to retain access to those areas. It's explained at Yahoo! Groups Service Changes - Files/Photos features. A listing of all their other Groups changes can be found at Yahoo! Groups Service Changes

This shouldn't be a problem to existing members, but newbies that show up here first will still need to join the JP1 group before they can get any of the goodies.

I'm agree with this. But don't worry, one day, Rob will find a solution.

Sorry about this "nothing to say" reply, but it's a test for me!

On my main JP1 page (ie, http://www.hifi-remote.com/jp1 ) I mention that the Yahoo group is where we keep the files, and when people go there they will find that they need to join the group.

It's a drag, but that's the way free services sometimes are.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but on the Yahoo group main page, I added a link telling users that new messages need to be posted here.
