UuGgg....
Ok guys... How did I add the 'SHIFT+NEW DEVICE' to my RS15-2133
Is this feature now build-in in the new RemoteMaster software?

Please explain what "SHIFT+NEW DEVICE" means.

I think that you guys might call it a device extender so that a remote what would only have 6 devices and if your device had memory you could make it a 12 device remote...gfb107 wrote:Please explain what "SHIFT+NEW DEVICE" means.
All I know is some how I made my 15-2133 a seven device remote and now I need to change the devices and don't remember how I did this....

I'm still a little foggy on exactly what it is you're asking, so maybe it would be a good idea to post your IR file in the Diagnosis Area and explain with examples. (and PLEASE post a link to the file).

As Requested... Please Help?!?
Rob as your requested I have uploaded my current 15-2133 file...The Robman wrote:I'm still a little foggy on exactly what it is you're asking, so maybe it would be a good idea to post your IR file in the Diagnosis Area and explain with examples. (and PLEASE post a link to the file).
Currently it is the "CD" key toggles [shifts by pressing the device key, setup key twice, number one, and then the device key again] between being a 'HOME/X-10' control or a 'Toshiba VHS VCR code 0061'
What I would like to do is to be able to add such toggle to other keys.... so that I can control more devices.
Since I set this up on the remote I have had to reformat my harddrive twice and thought that I had all the files needed.
But what I have downloaded states that I will loose the learning on the remote and I do not want to loose learning!
I would also like to add this to other remotes such as the RCA810, HTPro

Re: As Requested... Please Help?!?
You're not "losing the learning" as you can always save your working (extended) configuration with IR, load up a basic (non-extended) configuration, learn the codes you want, do what you need to do with those codes (create an upgrade or a KeyMove) and then load the extended version back into the remote with IR.DavidEC2955 wrote:But what I have downloaded states that I will loose the learning on the remote and I do not want to loose learning!
Imagine that your remote is a camera and the extender is a special lens. Just because you fit a telephoto lens does not mean that you "lose" those wide shots - you just have to be prepared to change lenses. Same with IR and JP1 - download, backup, upload - you won't break anything (just be sure to store the lenses somewhere safe).

Is there anyway to load/overlay my current setup files into the extended version? To just add the extra two aux buttons?whompus wrote:By use of extender. If you extend the 2133 it will be 8 instead of 6 device remote. In the 2133 the 2 extra is aux and aux2, Put the code on them and shift to whatever key you want.
{tick tock a few hours latter and finding exinstall.exe over at yahoo! I edited this message}
OK I think that I got the extender installed...
...only trouble is that I have lost two learned key.....
I feel that maybe this thread should now be moved to another area of the forum?
But I will ask a few more questions..
Could you post a copy of a device move macro so that I can see how it should look??
And since using the extender I have loss my vol punch through how do I reenable this feature using macros???
I am at a loss here as reading the text files seem to be like reading greek not geek...
{tick tock a few hours latter! I again edited this message}
Ugg!! All I really want is to add two more devices to my 15-2133 and RCU810's
Maybe I just do not understand the way that macros should work..
...but the loss of the VPT.... is too much....
