Connectors provided by factory?

This is the JP1 beginners forum. There's no such thing as a stupid question in here, so post away, but this forum is just for JP1 users and people considering JP1, non-JP1 users please use the appropriate forum above!

Connectors provided by factory?

Post by iggyboy »

A very simple question. In the beginners section http://www.hifi-remote.com/jp1/help/ is written "To see if your remote is JP1 compatible, open up the battery compartment and see if there's a 6-pin connector in there. If you see 6 holes rather than a 6-pin connector, your remote probably needs extra parts to be JP1 compatible". But how may I know before buying it? I would like to buy an URC-8910,but is it provided with 6-pin connectors by factory or not?

The URC-8910 comes ready to work with a JP1 interface.
In the help section I put up a big picture book of mainstream remotes with comments about various remotes. Take a look.
