Transfer protocol from 2117 to other jp1 remote

I have what I hope is a trivial question, but could not find an answer with a search. Here goes: I have a 2116 and it contains the 0717 code. I understand that this works the Mintek DVD players (friends player or I would try it out). I would like to put the 0717 setup code into another jp1-able remote. Normally, I would open Devices4 , enter the code, copy the keymap into KM and load it. BUT Devices4 doesn't recognize 0717. What else could I do?

You're taking the wrong approach. Rather than worrying about what setup codes are built into each remote, just go to the file section and see if there's an upgrade there for the device in question. In this case, you would go to the DVD folder where you wold find this: Mintek_1600_DVD_0717.txt
