Help with same protocol ID in Atlas 1056 extender

Post by Carl »

I'm having trouble with the DVD device on my Atlas 1056 and extender 2.11.

For some reason, I cannot get the DVD device to work properly.
My DVD device is actually a PC remote .
I have put the upgraded protocol but nothing works.

It was working with the same remote without the extender.

My upgrade protocol ID for the PC remote is $01FE.
The protocol ID is already defined in the extender but the protocol information is different...

So basically, I end up with 2 $01FE protocol ID in the same remote with different protocol information.

How can I fix this? Can I remove the $01FE already included in the extender?

Here is my ir file:

Are you using KM or RM to build your upgrades?
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

The $01FE protocol is actually the Device Multiplexor upgrade in the extender.I have just removed it since I don't use it.

I wonder if there is a way to change to protocol ID of my PC remote....

Hi Carl

There are many ways to fix the problem.

Its a little easier in KM than RM.

In RM, you can go to the
Advanced Menu
Manual Settings
Change the PID

Navigate to the SETUP Tab,
Go to the PID and Pick the Last one on the list which will be PID xxxx where xxxx is the new hex pid you supplied.

Then the edit and paste the IR device and IR protocol

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT RM didn't alter the HEX of the buttons when you change the protocol.
