Any of you guys like to comment upon this thread on the Lirc mailing list? (It is a long thread; go to the last post (Sun, 19 Feb 2017 10:32:32 +0100 ) for a summary.)

In short, the poster has found an ancient Blaupunkt remote, and claims that it sends:

* modulation frequencies reproducibly and significantly different for different keys,
* very short signals, very different between the keys, with no easily recognizable pattern.
