Extender maximized for learning?

Post by TimH »

Anyone ever made an extender that had no macro or upgrade space to maximize space for learning?

Seems like it would be a useful tool.

Tim,

With the tools here, learning is not necessary other than to decode the IR Protocol/device. I can't think of any case where the user had to resort to a learned command because we couldn't create a device and protocol upgrade.

Is there a particular device that you had to learn?

I had to learn every button on my Oritron HT/DVD system and create an upgrade. All that worked fine, though it took a couple passes due to the limited learning memory.

It just seemed like it would be a useful tool in the situation where you were learning a new device from the oem remote, to be able to learn everything in one pass.

It wouldn't be useful for anything else. You'd just load it up for that one situation.
