TV speakers on/off for Toshiba

Post by ElizabethD »

Recent model of TV (CN26C100U1 or CN19C100U and similar). Even has discrete on/off and inputs.
Would anybody know if there are discretes for turning on and off the TV speakers. I'm not talking about mute.
Looked in the file section and so far nothing matches. Haven't looked at RC, I suppose I should.

I've documented all the codes that my Toshiba TV responds to here:

There weren't any codes that did any thing radical and even the service menu codes didn't do any harm, as long as you don't change anything in them, so I think it should be safe to go searching for the code.

If there isn't one, you could use my hacked version of the NEC1 protocol to send multiple VOL- buttons.

Thanks, Rob.
I know your file. After gathering the codes via the Widget I got yours.
I know the NEC1 repeater. that will be definitely my fallback if the code search gets me nowhere. BTW this Toshiba tv has an interesting 3-way muting toggle: 1/2 volume, then zero, then back to where we started from.

Hey, when you have nothing better to do, how about a repeating Denon for device 12? I could use one. OEM remote doesn't even have Mute. It's an old amplifier.
