I was emailed information about this remote. It will learn up to 54 buttons at one time. It appears to fit the "simple remote" requirements that we are sometimes are looking for, for a technophobe. It is not too expensive (about $13).

Now we all know that learning, is not perfect. We do see a lot of those cable devices that use XMP, and I've personally had awful experiences with the RC-5 toggling protocols, so these are not nearly as good as a keymove capable UEI remote, but then again, those UEI remotes are getting hard to find.

Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.
