Atlas extender FAV setting
When I setup the FAV list, why is it that the list button is the one to send the mini macros and not the FAV button? I use the FAV feature on my DirecTV DVR and when it was working, a few channels would goof up while others worked perfectly. It seemed to be that the channels that goofed up were the ones that always messed up, while the ones that worked all ways worked.
Also, in IR, why is it that the title bar lists extender v0.02 when I downloaded v1.00?
EDIT: I found out why some channels wouldn't work. They were these channels:
0299
0244
0544
Notice the last 2 digits? Yep, they're alike. When sent in the mini macro, the DirecTV receiver doesn't get the last digit. I've tried various pauses but nothing ever worked. Am I out of luck?

pm me and you can send me your IR file. FAV in the extender is really done as a special case macro that gets loaded, so I'd like to see if your IR file is really putting the right keycodes in the macro before I go off and look at how I implemented FAV. (I must admit that I didn't do a whole lot of looking at that since I don't use the FAV function)
As for the title bar, that comes from the RDF. You need to make sure that you replace the RDF's from the earlier versions with the ones in the new distribution. I just checked the ZIP that I uploaded and they say V 1.0.

Well....
One would think that I'd have a bit of extra time on my hands, I was reorganized out of a job at the end of September. But this looking for a job thing is tiring and takes a lot of brain cycles.
I haven't been really engaged at anything more than a peripheral level for the extenders for a couple of months now. And no idea when I'll be back into it.

FAV/SCAN:
=========
Note: The unextended Atlas remotes did not support FAV/Scan mode even
though a FAV key was included. This extender implements the FAV mode
similar to that of other JP1 extenders.
You can use IR to define a Fav list of up to 15 mini-macros of up to 5 keys
each. IR handles all 15 mini-macros together as one line item in its Scan/Fav
tab. Within that line item, the mini macros are delimited by "{pause}". IR
also allows you to create additional whole Fav lists; But the remote can't
use them.
The extender operates the Fav list differently than other unextended remotes
in three important aspects:
1) The extender executes just one mini-macro each time you press the Fav key
(advancing through them circularly). The unextended remote will continue
executing the mini-macros with 3 second pauses in between until you press
another key to stop it.
2) The extender will switch the temporary device index to equal the Fav
device index whenever it starts a Fav mini-macro. The unextended remote
only recognizes the Fav list if the device index already matches the Fav
device index.
3) The unextended remote will do a Scan operation instead of a Fav list
operation whenever the Fav key is used in a device index that doesn't match.
The extender will never do a Scan operation. To have it do something other
than a Fav operation on certain device indexes, you must define a Key Move
for Fav for each such device index. (The Key Move will only override the
Fav List if IR.EXE puts the key move earlier within the
KeyMove/Macro/FavList pool than it puts the FavList.)

Haven't tried it myself, but F1, F2 and OnDemand are multimacro buttons according to the un-extended RDF (1056). So you should be able to put several (not sure how many) macros on those buttons to program favorites. To try it, just create a couple of macros, each on the same F1 key.
I posted a while back a "poor man's" fav scanning using toadtog bits for an 8 channel fav list. But that would also require an extender, I assume.

I'm looking for a FAV like thing for 6131 and 7800. Don't need it for channels. I just need to cycle round and round through Shift-3,Shift-4,Shift-5...,Shift-9 for my receiver inputs.
Where is your file? Perhaps we could put something together. I,too, thought of some toad-tog solution but got too confused and rather would use what's already been done.

Elizabeth, if you need ToadTogs and this FAV thingy on the 7800, there are some registers that you can use for a secondary ToadTog protocol.

Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Oh, what a nice elegant algorithm!
I have to do a lot of moving of various key assignments to do what I need, but as I read your code, it's precisely what I need. If a byte had 10 bits it would accomodate all my inputs, but that's ok, I want to do 4-5 important ones without dropping discrete toad togs I need to keep as well.
