Nexus remote

I bought a "Nexus" remote on ebay that is backlit. I found it on amazon, and it looks identical to mine. Might be worth the $10 dice roll?

Just for those who might be troubleshooting their own JP1 setup, my problem was that I had mislabeled two of the wires. pins 5 and 6 were swapped. Everything works great now. Thanks for the help!

Well, back to the drawing board. I resoldered any spots that looked questionable on the 6pin and with 4 flashes telling me the EEPROM is good, I'm not quite sure what to do next.

I've tried the following battery combinations:

1. No batteries
2. One battery put in backwards, the other oriented ...

Okay, it looks like my EEPROM is good.

I thought I had gotten the six pin soldered correctly, but now my symptoms are the same as in this thread. I guess I'll be popping open the remote to double check soldering for hershey's kisses.

I've oriented it with the dimple in the same place as it is shown in this post. Is there a way I can check to make sure the EEPROM is positioned correctly, besides using a JP1 cable?

Simple Parallel Interface Can't find remote (URC-6131N)

Hello

I've built myself a Simple Parallel JP1 interface, and no matter what I do, I'm getting a "No Response From Remote" error when I run test configuration from ir.exe.

I'm attempting to use it with a URC6131N that I've modded myself. I've verified the pins go where they are supposed to using an ...
